Are you licensed and Insured?
Yes! We’re a fully registered through LARA and we are an insured business based in Wayne County, Michigan. Our vehicles have commercial insurance, we carry comprehensive liability coverage, and we’re proud to be part of aPaws (Association of Professional Animal Waste Services).
What happens if there is inclement weather?
At Puppy Poo Patrol, safety is our top priority—for both our technicians and your pets. We will cancel service whenever weather conditions are deemed unsafe. These conditions include, but are not limited to:
-
Lightning
-
Excessive winds
-
Extreme cold
-
Heavy snow accumulation (when waste is completely covered)
-
Flooding

We understand that cancellations can be inconvenient, but please note: we do not issue credits for missed services due to weather.

Why We Do Not Issue Credits
Even when we cannot service your yard due to weather, your dog continues to go to the bathroom, meaning waste continues to accumulate. When conditions improve, we must remove not only the usual amount of waste but also everything that built up during the missed service. This is especially true after winter—when the snow melts all at once, our technicians work incredibly hard to clean up the large accumulation of waste left behind. Our pricing structure accounts for this additional labor, ensuring that your yard is thoroughly cleaned when service resumes.

We appreciate your understanding and support as we work to maintain safe and effective service year-round.
Will you be out to scoop on holidays?
While we believe in spreading cheer, we take a break on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day so that our technicians can spend time with their families. If your regularly scheduled scoop day falls on one of those holidays, we will skip that scoop. Don't worry though - we've got you covered. We'll scoop both weeks worth of waste the following week to ensure your yard stays clean and fresh.
Will I be able to choose my scoop day?
We understand that pet owners want to choose the day of the week for their pet waste removal service. Unfortunately, due to the way we organize our services, we cannot accommodate individual requests for scoop day. Instead, we base our scoop day on the area in which you live. This allows us to provide efficient service to our customers and give them the best possible experience. If you have any questions about our scoop day schedule, please contact us and we would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Do I have to be home on my service day?
No. As long as your yard is accessible to our technician and your pet are inside, no one is required to be home.
My dog is friendly. Why does he have to stay inside?
As a professional service provider, we take the safety of our technicians very seriously. While we adore dogs and understand the important role they play in your life, we must also consider their protective nature. Even the most friendly and well-behaved dogs can become territorial and protective of their yards when strangers are present. To ensure the safety of our team members, we kindly ask that all dogs be kept inside while we are servicing your yard. However, if we have previously met your dog and feel confident in their behavior, we would be delighted to have them join us during our visit.
Am I required to sign a contract for service?
Our Pet Waste Removal service is offered on a month-to-month basis with no contract required. You can choose to cancel your service at any time, with no penalties or fees.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all forms of payment. We will email an invoice for our services which can be paid electronically through the invoice. We also accept cash, Venmo, or Cash App. For those who prefer to pay by check, please make checks payable to Puppy Poo Patrol.
What will happen if my grass is long?
As a professional pet waste removal service, our top priority is to ensure that your yard is left clean and free of waste. However, we would like to remind our clients that if the grass in your yard is too long, it can make our job difficult. Long grass can obscure pet waste, making it difficult for our technicians to locate and remove it. In addition, other debris such as toys, leaves, and trash can also hide the waste. This can result in us accidentally missing some waste during our cleaning process. We kindly ask our clients to keep their grass trimmed and to clear any debris from their yards before our scheduled visit. This will ensure that our technicians can thoroughly clean your yard and leave it free of any pet waste. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a clean and healthy environment for you and your pets.
